In November 2013, I caught Frozen Fever much like the rest of the world. I saw the film twice at the theater. I Disneybounded as Anna with my best friend as Elsa for our university's movie night. And when the Frozen sewing patterns came out the winter after I had first learned to use a sewing machine, my whole world changed forever. Even though I had only just begun to sew, the instructions from the Simplicity patterns, along with a blog post from the pattern maker herself, guided me through sewing the dress with its detailed custom iron-on appliques. With that next Halloween in mind, I started on Anna's winter dress and cape and everything just kind of...snowballed...
Think of these as the treasure map that initiates my adventure...
I have my several Frozen costumes sorted into their own galleries. Click the photos below to learn more about each costume!

....and there's also a few crossover cosplays I've made....
Is Frozen my favorite movie? It's definitely up there, but Frozen is so much more to me than just a movie. Frozen was by my side from the very beginning as I learned to sew my own costumes. I honestly can't tell you what that first cosplay project would have been if it hadn't been for Princess Anna.
